This program makes use of the foundational principles as found in Gen. 2:15-18 to prepare young men to be the men worth waiting for and young women to look out for the basics in a Godly man. On this foundation, the program derives principles for dating from the Song of Solomon. The program uses the 3Ps as guiding principles for “The Man She is Waiting For” namely;
God’s presence (Gen. 2:15a)

The first thing God gave Adam was his presence. Adam was with God before he met Eve. The man she is waiting for should have a personal relationship with God submitting to his will. Adam was submitting to God’s will before Eve came into the picture. If he has no relationship with God, then a Christian woman can’t have a relationship with him. We teach young women as a rule of thumb, “No relationship with God, no relationship with me”.
God’s purpose for his life- “work” (Gen. 2:15b)

The second thing God gave Adam was work before he met Eve. The man she is waiting for should have work and a sense of purpose. God put Adam in the garden of Eden to tend it and keep it. The verb “tend” literally means to “serve”. Notice the purpose or work originated from God. To keep it has an aspect of military guard. If he has no work or sense of purpose, then a Christian woman ought to go slow. We teach young women as a rule of thumb, “No sense of purpose(work), no relationship with me”.
God’s precepts for his life- “God’s word” (Gen. 2:16-17).

The third thing God gave Adam was his command before he met Eve. The man she is waiting for should be knowledgeable and obedient to God’s word. If the word of God is not a priority or has no place in his life, then a Christian woman should go slow because she may as well have no place in his life. The rule of thumb for a Christian woman should be, “No reverence for God’s word, no relationship with me”.
