Rooted in Christ Program

The picture bellow is of a tree called Methuselah, the oldest tree in the world named after the biblical person who lived the longest (Gen.5:27). The tree is 4,854 years old.

The secret to the longevity of this tree is in two things; Roots & slow steady growth. The tree analogy fits the Christian life. The goal of the Christian life is “To be conformed to the image of Jesus Christ” (Romans 8:29). This goal is achieved through a “Continued life in Christ” (Col. 2:6). The continued life in Christ is ensured by being “ROOTED IN CHRIST” and built up in him (Col.2:7).

Rooted in Christ program is designed to help men grow in Christ. Just as roots are the basic things that matter most to a tree. The basics are the things that matter most in the Christian life. Unfortunately, many Christians neglect these basics. We cannot outgrow them. This program challenges a man for Christ to commit to continuous growth in Christ through a disciplined life by being;

Rooted in the Bible

We teach that a man for Christ believes that the Bible is the inspired and inerrant word of God. It is the only infallible rule of faith and practice. Anything written in the voice of God other than the bible is not the word of God.

Rooted in Discipleship

We teach that a man for Christ Intentionally builds relationships in which he walks alongside other men for Christ to encourage, equip, and challenge one another in love to grow toward maturity in Christ. This program also equips the man for Christ to make men for Christ who make men for Christ.

Rooted in Prayer

We teach that a man for Christ prioritizes prayer knowing that a Christian life cannot be effectively lived without prayer.

Rooted in Worship

We teach that a man for Christ is a worshiper. He knows that worship focuses on God. A man for Christ worships God for; who God is, who the man is, what God has done, what God will do, and what God has not done or will not do.

Rooted in Community (Local Church)

We challenge men for Christ to commit to a local gathering of believers and submit to both the blessings and correction it can offer. A church where he is known and he is accountable.
